Chimney Sweep / Cleaning
The process of chimney cleaning removes dangerous combustible creosote build up in wood stoves, inserts and fireplaces. Creosote sticks to the walls of your flue and is the fuel for a chimney fire.
Creosote is a highly flammable substance that builds up in your flue with continuous use of a fireplace or wood-stove. An overabundance of creosote can quickly lead to a chimney fire. To prevent fires it is recommended by the National Fire Protection Association that fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances.
